Application Materials(Please prepare the following materials before applying)
Degree students
1.Non-Chinese citizens,in good physical and mental health
2.above the age of 18
3.Applicantsshouldabide by the Chinese laws, regulations and the rules of the university.
4.Applicants should hold a certificate of graduation from high school for Bachelor programs, a Bachelor’sDegree for Master programs, and a Master’sDegree for PhDs programs.
1.The certificate of highest academic degree or the proof of study should be the scanned copy of the original documents. Graduates shall provide pre-graduation certificate.
2.Certificate of HSK band 4 or above
3.the non-criminal record stamped by local police station
4.Two letters of recommendation by Professors or associate Professors are the mandatory documents for Master and Doctorate programs applications.
5.Scanned copy of passport, and scanned copy of the ID photo
Non-degree applicants

3.Applicantsshouldabide by the Chinese laws, regulations and the rules of the university.

4.Applicants who are transferring from another school should provide a certification of completion of study, and a certificate of school performance issued by the applicant’sformer school.
Application Procedure
1 Please log in the website of CIE:http://english.swun.edu.cn, Click to enter on-line application and create a student account. 2 Applicants should fill in personal information and submit all the application documents before the application deadline on May 30/November 30. 3 After 10 working days when the application is confirmed to be completed, you may check admission result by logging in to on-line application account. If you are accepted, prepare admission materials as required in your personal email. 4 Before January 15/July 15, Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW202) and the formal Admission Notice will be sent via courier express to the requested address in your application, or you may collect the admission documents personally in school. 5 Admitted applicants should bring Admission Letter, Visa Application Form (JW202) etc. to the local Chinese Embassy or Consulate and apply for a student visa (X1/X2 visa). It is not advisable to arrive way before February 10/August 10. 6 The students shall register at Southwest Minzu University on working days within the first week of March/September. X1 visa is only valid for 30 days so you must apply to the Exit & Entry Administration Department of Chengdu Public Security Bureau for a residence permit or the extension of residence permit before it expires.
