The meeting marked one of the achievements of the visit made by a SWUN delegation to colleges and universities in Japan and South Korea in July. The two parties had an in-depth discussion and reached a consensus on cooperative projects involving the exchange of students, co-training of teachers and reciprocal recommendation of library resources. Moreover, in the hope of providing more opportunities for students of SWUN to further their study in Japan, DAIWA Academy Japanese Language promised to offer scholarships and deduction or exemption of the tuition fees for excellent students, especially those from minority ethnic groups. In addition, non-Japanese majors will be provided with opportunities to study in Japan.
