The school has made remarkable achievements in teaching and research. Over the past five years, the faculty has published over 600 papers in authoritative publications and over 50 academic works and textbooks. In addition, the school has undertaken over 100 research projects at the national, provincial and ministerial levels, and received 40 research awards at the national, provincial and ministerial levels. The school has hosted the Fourth Chinese Multi-Ethnic Literature Forum and the First Qiang Literature Symposium, which were highly influential at home and abroad.
The school has fostered numerous outstanding talents of various ethnicities for the economic and cultural development of China. Among the graduates are Jidi Majia (a reputable poet, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial CPC Committee and Head of the Publicity Department of Qinghai Province), An Zhongwen (a noted wartime hero), Liu Shilan (a distinguished chess master), and Han Han (the youngest member of China Writers Association and an eminent young writer). Many of our graduates pursue further studies in Peking University, Tsinghua University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Beijing Normal University, Nanjing University, Tongji University, and Sichuan University for Master’s Degrees and Doctoral Degrees and take up teaching positions in prominent institutions of higher learning, while many others serve as the backbone in a great variety of fields across the country.
