Ethnology (Cultural Anthropology)  

Objectives: this program is designed to provide versatile and innovative talents with systematic ethnological theories and knowledge as well as outstanding personal qualities, capable of investigating and analyzing issues by applying ethnological methodology. The graduates are expected to have a broad academic vision while gaining insights into related disciplines and contemporary academic development trends. They are not only able to pursue further studies in this discipline and the related ones, but also qualified to work in social and cultural organizations of the Party and government departments, enterprises and public institutions, particularly in administrative organizations and ethnic grassroots communities engaged in ethnic, religious and civil administrative work.
Main courses: Introduction to Ethnology, Introduction to Archaeology, Introduction to Sociology, Introduction to Linguistics, Chinese Ethnography, World Ethnography, History of Ethnography and Anthropology, Introduction to Chinese Ethno-History, Ethnic Theories and Policies, Physical Anthropology, and Investigation Methods of Ethnology.
Length of schooling & degree: qualified graduates will receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Law after completing four years of schooling.   


Cultural Industry Management 

Objectives: To cater to the requirements of the rapidly developing cultural industry, this program is designed to produce versatile talents who have relatively rich knowledge in cultural theories and humanistic studies. Such talents are to have humanistic quality, innovative awareness, a broad vision, advanced notions, and a sense of social responsibility. Graduates are expected to master specialized knowledge of cultural administration, cultural business operation, and cultural policies and laws, so as to work on creativity, brokerage, management, and education positions in cultural administrative departments, cultural enterprises and public institutions, news and publishing institutions, art industry agencies, and culture-media organizations.
Main courses: Introduction to Cultural Industry Management, Economics of Cultural Industry, History of Chinese Culture, Introduction to Cultural Resources, Public Service Administration, Mass Media Management, Entertainment Industry Operation and Management, Animation and Digital Industry Operation and Management, Film Industry Operation and Management, Cultural Brokerage Theories and Practice, Cultural Industry Policies and Laws, Modern Service Industry Management, Business English in Culture, etc.
Length of schooling & degree: qualified graduates will receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Management after completing four years of schooling.
